The handsome bodyguard of Vice President Sara Duterte goes viral and became a hot topic on social media.
Recently, netizens couldn’t help but notice Vice President Sara Duterte’s close-in security during her visit to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands, on March 14, 2025.
While VP Sara was accompanied by notable figures like former Executive Secretary Atty. Salvador Medialdea, Sen. Robin Padilla, and Atty. Harry Roque, it was her dashing bodyguard who stole the spotlight.
A lot of internet users were quickly buzzed with curiosity about his identity. Reports reveal that he is Lieutenant Raven Snapper, a 30-year-old Philippine Navy officer from the Cordillera Administrative Region.
Raven is also said to be VP Sara’s second cousin. When VP Sara assumed office, she reportedly requested his assignment to her Protection Security Group (PSG), making him a part of her close-in security team.
Lt. Snapper became an instant internet sensation after his photos and videos surfaced online. Many netizens expressed admiration for his looks, comparing him to actors David Licauco and Joshua Garcia. Some even called him an “oppa.”
However, while many gushed over him, others urged restraint in sharing too much personal information to ensure his safety and that of VP Sara.
Meanwhile, VP Sara is in the Netherlands to support her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is in ICC custody for trial on charges of crimes against humanity. She recently provided an update, stating that her father is in good spirits and well taken care of in the hospital wing of the detention center.
The former president reportedly misses Filipino food but was pleased that rice has been included in his meals. They also discussed his legal team, their family, and the country’s current situation.
