Content Creator Earns Reactions Online After Sharing Encounter with Alleged ‘Aswang’
A content creator shared a horrifying experience with what they believed to be an ‘aswang’ on their farm.
Recently, a Facebook user Ssob Wampipti shared a video about their family’s eerie encounter with an alleged ‘aswang’. The video quickly went viral and garnered mixed reactions from the online community.
In the video, the vlogger’s wife and child could be seen crying in fear after hearing strange noises around their house. The unsettling sounds continued, prompting the vlogger to step outside and investigate.
As they scanned their surroundings, they claimed to have spotted a shadowy figure resembling an aswang. Alarmed, they called their companions, grabbed a machete and a flashlight, and began searching the area to confirm what he had seen.
“Habang tina type ko to may naririnig parin kaming ingay or kaluskos sa labas ng bahay namin. Praying na sana pusa lang yon or aso. Gayonpaman, nakaka pangilabot lang isa sa mga napansin ko sa video ay parang malaking half face ng demon,” he wrote.
While typing the post, the vlogger admitted that they could still hear noises outside. They hoped it was just a cat or a stray dog but couldn’t shake off the eerie feeling. Reviewing the video, they noticed what appeared to be a large half-face resembling a demon, which only added to their fear.
Despite growing up in the city and never believing in aswang, the vlogger found this experience unsettling. He reasoned that it was likely just a wild animal but worried about his pregnant wife, who was already feeling anxious.
They also pointed out that if it were a manananggal, strong winds should have accompanied it, or if it were a tiktik, they should have seen a long tongue. Their wife, frightened by the encounter, wanted to return to the city, jokingly blaming horror movies for making her more scared. The incident happened at exactly 12:07 AM.
