PAGASA Says Easterlies and Amihan to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies and the northeast monsoon will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (March 14, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Amihan and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the country.

The northeast monsoon will bring cold weather in most parts of Northern Luzon. “By next week, possibly by Monday, we might have a surge of northeast monsoon affecting most parts of northern Luzon,” Castañeda said.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas.
“We can see in our satellite animation that there are almost no cloud clusters in most parts of the country except in areas of eastern Visayas,” Castañeda said.

The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“The rest of the country will continue to experience warm weather,” she added.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over eastern section of the country will be moderate. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
No gale warning was raised over any of the country’s seaboard.
