Following the arrest of Duterte, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said that the Interpol Manila received a copy of the warrant of arrest issued by the ICC. Based on the statement, the former President was checked by a doctor to ensure that he is in good health.

Senator Bong Go also arrived at NAIA ahead of Duterte. Go was with a doctor of former Pres. Duterte as he cited that the former Chief Executive has lots of illnesses already. He stressed that the former President is turning 80 years old this month.
