Posts about Groom & Bride Halted Wedding after “Gayuma” Allegedly Faded Go Viral
BRIDE – A post about a couple who was supposedly set to get married went viral as the woman allegedly held her groom under “gayuma”.
The Philippines is undeniably one of the countries with many rare beliefs like believing in “gayuma” or love potion. Some Filipinos believe that these substances can make a person fall in love to someone who gave it to him/her. These substances are sold in some areas in the country only.

Recently, several posts about a wedding that allegedly involved the use of a “gayuma” went viral on social media. The bride allegedly held her groom under the said love potion but he woke up to his senses on the day that they were set to officially tie the knot.
Several netizens shared the story on social media. Based on a post under Facebook username Shaira Jane Garcia, the groom was allegedly showered with salt during their wedding day and he allegedly returned to his senses. He was shocked by what was happening, thus, their was no tying of knot that has taken place.

The wedding of the bride and the groom was not pushed through as the judge that was supposedly set to wed them did not arrive. Based on the post, the wedding coordinators and suppliers were on the losing end over what happened.
The couple was not able to pay the fees for their wedding coordinator as well as suppliers of the food, the photobooth, the venue, the decorations, the disc jockey, and the 360booth among others. Based on the post, the wedding expenses of the couple that were unpaid have reached probably more or less Php 500,000.


The post went viral on social media and gained different reactions from the netizens. In one of the videos posted, the bride could be seen heading towards a police vehicle.
