The victim, identified as Ramon Briones, was heading home from Medellin when the incident occurred. Witnesses said he was traveling at a high speed when the goat appeared, forcing him to brake abruptly. He lost control of his motorcycle, was thrown off, and suffered severe injuries.
Emergency responders rushed Briones to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. Despite wearing a helmet, the impact caused fatal injuries to his head and body.
Authorities are now investigating whether the goat had an owner and if negligence played a role in the accident. The presence of free-roaming animals on public roads remains a concern, especially in areas with open fields and farmlands.
