Here’s ‘Disadvantage’ Faith da Silva Faces for Being Beautiful
FAITH DE SILVA – Actress Faith da Silva openly shared the unexpected challenges she faces due to her beauty, revealing the “disadvantage” that comes with being admired.
Filipina actress Faith da Silva recently opened up about the challenges she faces due to her beauty. While many admire her striking looks, she admitted that being attractive comes with certain disadvantages, particularly when it comes to relationships and friendships with men.
During her appearance on the vodcast Your Honor, Faith candidly discussed how she often struggles to determine the true intentions of men who show interest in her.

“I think ‘yung disadvantage rin ng pagiging isang maganda is ‘yung pag-objectify sa’yo ng mga lalaki. I think karamihan sa experience ko, hindi ko alam kung talagang gusto ba nila akong i-pursue or gusto lang ‘anikin.’ Alam mo yun?” Faith shared.
She added that being perceived as sexy contributes to how people treat her, noting that respect sometimes fades due to objectification.
“At siyempre siguro rin sa imaging namin na sexy kami, ganito, ganyan. So ang thinking nila is, yung respeto kumbaga medyo nawawala kasi nga na-objectify ka,” she continued.
Faith agreed with host Tuesday Vargas, who pointed out that some men lose respect for her because of their preconceived notions. However, the actress revealed that this issue extends beyond romantic pursuits and also affects her friendships with men.
“But I think aside from that, another disadvantage for me is when it comes to male friendships. Most of my male friends eventually develop feelings for me. But I only want friendship,” she admitted.
She expressed frustration over how these friendships sometimes change, making it difficult to maintain purely platonic relationships. When male friends confess their romantic feelings, she often distances herself from them.
“Pero I think aside from that, isa pa to sa disadvantage sa akin when it comes to male friendships. Karamihan ng mga lalaki na naging kaibigan ko, dumadating sa point na nai-in love. Eh ikaw, gusto mo lang naman ng friendship,” she explained.
During the conversation, Faith was also asked about actors who had tried to court her. While she chose not to disclose their names on air, she whispered them to Tuesday and Buboy, who were visibly shocked.
“Ay maloloka kayo sa binulong!” Tuesday exclaimed.
“Ang juicy!” she added, while Buboy remarked, “Hoy in fairness ha. Iba talaga ang ganda ng isang Faith da Silva.”
