STUDENT FIGHT – A grade 10 student in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu grabbed her classmate’s hair after calling her ‘panget’ or ugly.

Recently, a heated altercation between two female students in a Lapu-Lapu City school escalated into a physical fight, all reportedly triggered by an insult. The incident involved a Grade 10 student who grabbed the hair of a Grade 11 student after allegedly being called “ugly.”

The incident was caught on CCTV, showing other students joining in the commotion. The video was posted by Junard “Ahong” Chan.

Authorities quickly stepped in, and both students were summoned to the Mayor’s office for further discussion. The older student sustained minor injuries, including bruises, scratches, and even losing a fingernail.

However, she firmly denied ever making the insulting remark. Following the incident, her parents decided to transfer her to another school for a fresh start.

Meanwhile, the Grade 10 student took responsibility and apologized for her actions. As part of the school’s disciplinary measures, she and another student involved in the fight will be placed under modular learning, ensuring they continue their education while reflecting on their behavior.
