PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring isolated rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (March 5, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that easterlies will bring rainy weather over the southern part of Mindanao, while fair weather will prevail over the remaining parts of the country.

“Patuloy pa rin pag iral ng easterlies na nakakaapekto sa ating buong bansa, although kung makikita natin sa ating latest satelite animation ay mamamataan pa rin natin itong kumpol na kaulapan more on sa southern portion ng Mindanao,” Torres said.
Fair and hot weather are expected over most parts of the country, with chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
The easterlies will bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

“So dahil sa epekto ng easterlies, maaring maranasan pa rin yung mga pag ulan sa katimugang bahagi ng Mindanao area,” Torres
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“Meanwhile, patuloy pa rin po ang maaliwalas at mainit na panahon sa nalalabing bahagi ng ating bansa. Kung may mga pag ulan man ay panandalian lamang itong thunderstorms na mas madalas nararanasan sa hapon o gabi,” Torres added.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the affected areas is warned for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains at times, according to PAGASA.
