PAGASA Says Easterlies to Prevail Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (March 4, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that easterlies would bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over the country.

“Ang easterlies ang nagko-cause din po ng mga pag-ulan in some areas in the eastern section of our country at magdadala rin ng maalinsangang panahon pagsapit po ng tanghali,” Estareja explained.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Caraga, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Davao Oriental.
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

“Kapansin-pansin din itong cloud cluster o kumpol ng kaulapan sa may silangan po ng Mindanao. Dahil sa easterlies, magkukrus po ito dito sa bahagi po ng Mindanao,” he added.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times, heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. Northern Luzon and the remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
The weather bureau reported that no low-pressure area or tropical cyclone is expected within and outside the Philippine area of responsibility until the end of the week.
“Wala tayong nakikitang anumang low-pressure area or bagyo na papasok ng ating Philippine area of responsibility hanggang sa matapos po ang linggong ito,” Estareja said.
