LRT-2 to Give Free Rides and Haircuts for Women in Celebration of National Women’s Month
The Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 is giving free rides and haircuts to female passengers this March as part of the National Women’s Month celebration.
The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) announced that all LRT-2 stations will provide free rides for women on March 8, 2025, during peak hours. The morning schedule runs from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, while the evening schedule is from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
In addition to free rides, the train station is also offering free haircuts to the first 30 female passengers at selected stations. The schedule for this special treat includes March 12 at Antipolo Station, followed by March 19 and 26 at Cubao Station.
These activities are part of the “Serbisyo para kay Juana 2025” initiative, which aims to provide special services for women during Women’s Month. The program emphasizes the importance of recognizing and empowering women in society while giving them small but meaningful benefits.
The free ride and haircut initiative is expected to bring joy to many female passengers, especially those who rely on LRT-2 for their daily commute. It is also a way to show appreciation for women’s contributions and promote gender equality.

On March 5, 2025, female passengers at Antipolo station (concourse level) will receive free roses as a special treat. Additionally, on March 5 and 26, 2025, selected lrt-2 stations will be giving out free collaterals to female passengers.
