Ara Mina & Maureen Larrazabal Break Silence on Past On-Set Feud Over a Man
ARA MINA – Fans were shocked after Bubble Gang stars Ara Mina and Maureen Larrazabal revealed that they once clashed during taping — all because of a man!
Former Bubble Gang mainstays Ara Mina and Maureen Larrazabal opened up about a surprising revelation from their early days on the country’s longest-running gag show — they once fought because of a man.
The two actresses shared the story during their guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda last Friday, October 17, where they looked back on their unforgettable experiences as part of the original Ka-Bubble cast years ago.

According to Maureen, the argument happened during one of their tapings and even caused production to halt temporarily. “There was a time, napag-usapan din namin ito, kaming dalawa nag-away kami,” Maureen began. “Nag-stop taping kami because of that. Because of my ex. Misunderstanding, kaming dalawa,” the Kapuso actress revealed.
Maureen explained that her ex-boyfriend had caused an issue between them, leading to the misunderstanding. Because of the tension, Bubble Gang’s production team decided to pause the taping. The management then intervened and encouraged the two actresses to resolve their conflict privately. Their co-stars even stepped out of the tent to give them space to talk.
Fortunately, after a heartfelt conversation, the two reconciled and managed to clear up the misunderstanding.
Host Boy Abunda later asked the two if they were both courted by the same man. Maureen answered, “Yes, parang ganu’n.” She added that she had been misinformed about the situation. “Sabi niya, parang wala na sila. Parang, ‘ha?’” Maureen said. She then added with a laugh, “Ang boys kasi talaga hangga’t makakalusot.”

Despite the past conflict, both Ara and Maureen expressed deep gratitude toward Bubble Gang, acknowledging how much the show contributed to their careers and personal growth.
“Kasi nga, ang maganda sa Bubble, kaming, sina Bitoy (Michael V), Ogie (Alcasid), lahat, all the girls, parang isang family kami,” Ara shared. “Kapag kunwari, may umiyak sa amin na heartbroken, damay lahat, parang naka-console lahat. ‘Yung dadamayan ka.”
Ara Mina and Maureen Larrazabal will once again appear together in Bubble Gang’s 30th-anniversary two-part special airing on October 19 and 26.
