Concerned Mom Shares Heartbreaking Experience of Her Children’s Painful Experience w/ their Classmates
A concerned mother shared her heartbreaking experience after her children became victims of physical harm caused by their classmates.
Recently, Joan Salen Rasco, a Facebook user, shares the physical harm her children experienced from their fellow kids. The post quickly circulated on social media garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to Joan, her children have always been well-mannered and never engage in fights. They only report incidents to their teachers or parents when something happens. She raised them with strong values and ensured they were well taken care of.

However, despite her efforts, both of her children suffered severe injuries due to bullying at school.
Her eldest child, Mikko, was only seven years old when he was attacked in April 2023. While inside his classroom, he was suddenly stabbed in the right arm with a newly sharpened pencil by a classmate.

At first, Joan thought it was a minor injury, but within weeks, Mikko started experiencing muscle spasms, difficulty breathing, and even seizures. The doctors diagnosed him with muscle spasms, petit mal seizures, and a possible tetanus infection.
Although he completed six months of medication and treatment, his condition worsened again in February 2025, leading to another hospitalization and a referral to a specialist in Naga.

Joan’s younger child, Ivanka, faced a similar traumatic experience in November 2024. While quietly sitting in class, she was suddenly hit on the head by a classmate. She immediately complained of intense headaches, nausea, and dizziness.
Shortly after, she struggled to walk and lost her balance. A CT scan revealed she had suffered a cerebral concussion. Despite medical treatment, she continued to experience recurring headaches and balance issues, requiring further medical attention in Naga.

Joan emphasized the emotional and financial toll these incidents have taken on her family. She urged parents to guide their children and teach them kindness to prevent similar situations from happening to others.
