For 12th Day Now, Pope Francis Still Confined in Gemelli Hospital
POPE FRANCIS – Vatican issued an update about the Roman Pontiff saying that he is still in a critical condition at the Gemelli hospital.
Church leaders have led the calls for prayer for the Pope. He is confined in Gemelli hospital in Rome, Italy for 12 days now. He is currently battling double pneumonia.

Pope Francis had bronchitis and it developed into pneumonia. This is one of the toughest health battle that the Roman Pontiff has faced and he even thinks that he may not live longer. The Pope also told two (2) people close to him that he may not make it this time.
Amid what the Pope is thinking over his life, wake and funeral preparations have been started. The Swiss Guard was also reportedly under a curfew over the possible demise of the Sovereign Pontiff.

Meanwhile, the clinical condition of Pope Francis showed slight improvements on the 7th day since his confinement last February 14. His fever was gone but the doctors said that the Pope was still not out of danger.

On Saturday, the chief of the Roman Catholic church had a respiratory attack. He needed to be transfused with two (2) counts of blood. The attack left him in a critical condition. It triggered an outpour of prayers for the recovery of the Pope.
Meanwhile, since Saturday night, no further respiratory crises affected the Pope as Vatican. He was also able to receive the Eucharist and has called for a priest in Gaza which was a sign of a better condition of the Pope.
The Roman Pontiff is confined in a special papal suite in Gemelli hospital in Rome. Recently, Vatican released an update regarding the condition of the Pope.
Based on a post of Vatican News, Vatican said that Pope Francis is still in a critical condition. Meanwhile, “there have been no acute respiratory episodes and hemodynamic parameters continue to be stable”.
The hemodynamic parameters refer to the measurements of his blood pressure and heart rate. Based on the report, the Pope underwent a scheduled follow-up CT scan on Tuesday night for the radiological monitoring of bilateral pneumonia.
“The prognosis remains reserved,” Vatican said.
Based on the post, Pope Francis received the Eucharist in the morning and resumed to work activities./
