In the recent update about Kris Aquino, she confirmed having her 7th autoimmune disorder. She is currently in the Philippines to continue her treatments after staying two years in the United States.

Autoimmune thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, Churg-Strauss syndrome, systemic sclerosis, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis are the six autoimmune conditions of Aquino and the seventh one is called Fibromyalgia.

Mayo Clinic said this is a “disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues”. She is still not fit to work and still underweight but when she gets better, she assures her supporters that she will return to work.

Months after returning to the Philippines, she finally made her first public appearance after many years of hiatus. She attended the People Asia’s People of the Year 2025. She went there to support her close friend fashion designer Michael Leyva who was one of the awardees.
