Sharon Cuneta warned the public against fake news
Megastar Sharon Cuneta spoke about the “fake news” about her husband politician Kiko Pangilinan.
Sharon had her fair share of controversies in showbiz. She has faced and addressed fake news about her as well. Her husand is also not exempted to this. As a politician, Kiko is also a public figure and would sometimes be the subject of intrigues and controversies online.
Sharon’s husband decided to run for Senator again this year and she is giving her full support for him. The singer-actress was present when Kiko filed his certificate of candidacy last year.
In a recent video posted on the Facebook page of iMPACT Leadership, based on the article in Bandera, Sharon Cuneta addressed the fake news about Kiko Pangilinan.
The Megastar said that she had second thoughts if she would speak about this or not. She said that since the “tsismis” about her husband keep on circulating online, especially that he decided to return to politics.
Sharon pointed out that social media has a great impact to the people, especially if what has been posted was negative and had malice. “Ayon po sa mga social scientists, kapag daw ang isang kasinungalingan o fake news ay paulit-ulit pong pinagkalat at paulit-ulit pinakita sa inyo o sa taong-bayan, maya-maya po, aba’y, mayroon na pong maniniwala,” Sharon explained.
The actress-singer also stressed that what are circulating about her husband were mostly untrue. She added that with their 30 years of being together, she can say that Kiko is a good huband and father.
Sharon Cuneta highlighted that once her husband would say anything, he will do what it takes in order to fulfill that promise. “Gano’n po siya sa amin. Nagawa na niya at gagawin po niya ulit,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Megastar continues to do acting projects. Her most recent TV series project is Saving Grace which featured Julia Montes.
