LTO Issues Show-Cause Order vs Busway Violator After Attempting to Escape Traffic Enforcers
A busway violator who tried to escape from traffic enforcers inside the exclusive EDSA busway is now facing serious consequences.
A traffic violation happens when a driver breaks the rules of the road. These rules are in place to keep everyone safe, including drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
Some violations are more serious because they can cause accidents or put lives in danger. These include driving without a license, hit-and-run incidents, and carrying too many passengers or too much cargo.

If caught, violators may face fines, penalties, license suspension, or even jail time, depending on how serious the offense is.
Recently, the Facebook page “Gadget Addict” shared photos of a motorcycle rider who attempted to evade traffic enforcers after committing a violation. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show-cause order, requiring him to explain his reckless actions.

The video shows a rider nearly crashing into enforcers while attempting to escape. Instead of stopping when flagged down, he made a dangerous move by leaving the bus lane, weaving through traffic, and then jumping back into the restricted lane. He even forced his way past enforcers before speeding off.
However, his escape did not go unnoticed. Enforcers monitoring from above had already captured his plate number, making it easy to identify him. The supposed minor violation with a simple ticket has now turned into a bigger problem.
With the show-cause order, the rider will have to appear at the LTO main office and explain his actions. Depending on the hearing, he could face heavier penalties, including fines, suspension, or even revocation of his driver’s license.
This incident reminds Filipino motorists that attempting to evade authorities can lead to more serious consequences. Following traffic rules is always the safer and smarter choice.
