Baron Geisler is breaking his silence amid the recent issue about him
Actor Baron Geisler slammed “irresponsible journalism” after reports surfaced that he was arrested due to a public disturbance.
Baron has his fair share of controversies in the entertainment industry. Showbiz fans knew what he went through when he was suffering from alcohol addiction.
He would trend on social media for the wrong reason. However, in recent years, the actor showed that he deserves a chance to have a new beginning. He stood up from that dark chapter in his life and fortunately, he was given good acting projects.
He is currently part of the Kapamilya primetime series Incognito. Fans have been very supportive of his projects.
However, reports from local news outlets in Cebu circulated just recently alleging that the actor was arrested and was released later on. Allegedly, he was detained because of the public disturbance he created after getting drunk.
According to the write-up, Baron was detained at the Canduman Police Station for violating a city ordinance on public intoxication but he was allegedly released after his wife paid the penalty worth P500.
Amid this issue, Baron shared a post on his Facebook page condemning the supposed misinformation. He stressed that because unverified reports, things blew up. The actor also said that he will take legal action regarding this matter.
“Breaking my silence. There’s a lot of misinformation circulating, especially from news outlets that failed to verify the facts before reporting. Irresponsible journalism has blown things out of proportion, creating unnecessary confusion. I want to make it clear—I’m okay, and I’m seeking legal advice to address this properly,” the actor wrote in his Facebook post.
Baron also thanked those people who showed support for him. In the comment section of his post, some netizens tagged the news outlets that reported about his alleged arrest.
