PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Prevail Across PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (February 22, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Visayas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Davao Region, Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon.

“Patuloy pa rin po ang epekto ng malakas na northeast monsoon sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon na magdadala ng malamig na temperatura lalo na sa madaling araw na sasamahan lamang po ng mahinang pag-ulan,” Estareja said.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. Similar weather condition is expected over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.
“Samantala, base naman sa ating latest satellite animation meron naman tayong kumpol ng mga ulap o cloud clusters dito somewhere sa may Mindanao and Palawan, pero wala sa mga ito ang inaasahang maging bagyo o low-pressure area hanggang sa katapusan na po ng Pebrero,” he added.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and the rest of Mindanao.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern and eastern sections of Luzon will be rough. Moderate to rough coastal waters are expected over rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country, according to PAGASA.
