Nadine Lustre showed full support for Leila de Lima’s party-list
Actress Nadine Lustre stressed that she was not paid for her political endorsement for Mamamayang Liberal Party-list with former Senator Leila de Lima as its first nominee.
It has been in Nadine’s personality to be straightforward and honest about what she thinks and feels, and this is just among the many traits that her supporters love about her. She is not also afraid to voice out her opinions about certain issues in the country including political issues.
The actress is also vocal about the politicians she supports, just like what she did last 2022 presidential elections. She campaigned for former Vice President Leni Robredo and former Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
Leila de Lima was also under the Leni-Kiko tandem and this year, Nadine Lustre is once again supporting the former Senator.
ML Party-list released its campaign video just recently and as a prominent star of this generation in the Philippine entertainment industry, Nadine caught the attention of the online community.
In the video, she shows an “option” to Filipino people. ‘Real talk, sawa na ba kayo? Sawa na sa mga abusado sa kapangyarihan?” she said and faces of political figures in the Philippines were flashed.
The “option” she presented was having Leila de Lima. “ML na ako. Tara, ML Nadine kayo!” she said.
In the campaign video posted on the party-list’s official Instagram page, in which Nadine was tagged, she wrote a striking comment. The actress stressed that this was not a paid project. “
“Hindi kailangang ng bayad kung para sa ikabubuti ng bayan. Ang tunay na paglilingkod, hindi binibili,” the actress stressed.
In the comment section, her fans expressed admiration for her for being brave and willing to stand for what she believes in. “@nadine tama queeenn,” a netizen commented and another one said, “@nadine yes president!!!!”
Fans of Nadine Lustre call her “President. This has become her moniker inside her fandom. In an interview back in 2022, she shared that this moniker started as a joke among her fans in 2017. She admitted that at first, she was wondering why her fans were calling her President Nadine but eventually, she felt happy because it was something that showed that she was being respected or looked up to by her supporters.
