Nadine Lustre is “President” for her fans
Actress Nadine Lustre is being tagged “President” by her fans and here is her reaction to this.
It is common for celebrities to have their moniker. Sometimes the name is given by their management or the people in media while there are times that fans were the ones who are starting a moniker for the celebrity they admire.
In case of Nadine, she is being called “President Nadine” by her fans. Based on the article in Inquirer, she talked about this in a recent interview on Cinema One show hosted by Bianca Gonzalez.
The actress shared that this started in 2017 as a joke among her fans. Hearing this moniker for the first time, Nadine Lustre said that it felt strange.
“Before, I really didn’t understand it. Every time people would call me that parang [I was like], ‘Why are people calling me that?’ I always found it so weird. Now, honestly it makes me feel loved,” she shared.
Eventually, the actress has embraced this tag for her. “Because every time people say that or every time people call me that, it’s a sort of acknowledgement that I’m someone people look up to, or someone that people listen to — that my voice is heard,” she explained.
However, Nadine said that this tag also made her feel pressured. Since she is vocal in expressing her views, she does extra effort in thinking before sharing her thoughts on social media.
This makes her conscious of her actions as many people, especially her fans are anticipating her moves. On the other hand, Nadine Lustre said that being tagged “President Nadine” gives her certain elation as she has the feeling of being acknowledged.
Meanwhile, Nadine is also happy for her new movie Greed with Diego Loyzaga. She said that she would like to do more out of the box movies in the future.
