The Land Transportation Office has several offices across the nation for the delivery of its services. It is the body that releases Student Permits and Driver’s License to individuals who are eligible to drive, registers vehicle that can operate on the road, and crafts the traffic rules.

The traffic and driving violations listed by the Land Transportation Office include violations such as when one is caught driving with an expire Driver’s License or an unregistered vehicle. Driving a car with an expired registration is also part of the violations and has corresponding fines based on the LTO fees 2025.

  • Step 1 — Check your ticket for the specific violation. Take note of the code as you may need it in paying for the penalty.
  • Step 2 — Prepare the amount for the penalty and the documents required in paying for the fine due to the violation. Bring the following:
    • violation ticket
    • vehicle’s certificate of registration (CR)
    • vehicle’s official receipt (OR)
    • your driver’s license
  • Step 3 — Go to an authorized payment center of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and settle the penalty. It may also be settled through the accredited banks and payment partners of the LTO.
  • Step 4 — It is important to keep the receipt showing that you have paid for the LTO violation. Go to the LTO and present the receipt to clear your record or get your Driver’s License back.
