Jojo Mendrez denied dating rumors with Mark Herras
Businessman-singer Jojo Mendrez stressed that there is nothing romantic going on between him and actor Mark Herras.
Rumors linking Mark and Jojo started circulating when they were spotted together at the Okada Hotel. Jojo immediately addressed this issue. He said that they were together at that time because of a collaboration.
Mark also explained that he was commissioned to promote Jojo’s revival song by doing a reaction video and dance performance. This issue was ignited by the fact that Mark went viral for his dance performance at a male entertainment bar.
Previously, Mark Herras broke his silence and clarified that it was just a performance and there was nothing wrong with what he did since he was earning money as a dancer. Rumor has it that the actor was paid P300,000 for his talent fee.
The actor is now married to actress Nicole Donesa and they now have a child. He said in a previous interview that he asked permission from his wife before having that dance performance at the male entertainment bar. Mark also stressed that he just entered the bar right before his performance and immediately left after.
It was inevitable that his sighting with Jojo Mendrez was connected to his viral dance performance at the bar.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Jojo stressed that he and Mark are not sharing any romance. Other than the help that Mark would give for his song, Jojo said that there were no conversations that happened between them.
The businessman-singer reacted to the rumors that he is Mark’s “benefactor.” “Hindi iyan totoo at wala kaming any relationship o whatever na wala kaming ibang usapan na ganito. So mali ‘yung lumalabas na balita,” Jojo stressed.
The businessman-singer also stressed that he did not provide any financial help to Mark. However, what they shared was their personal stories.
“Maganda ‘yung pagkatao ni Mark. Maganda ang acceptance niya sa buhay niya na ‘yung career niya ay kahit wala ay mabubuhay siyang masaya. Sinabi niya ‘yung sitwasyon ng buhay niya, ‘yung hardwork niya, gay ang nakagisnang niyang nagpalaki sa kaniya, kaya ‘yung respeto niya sa mga gay ay mataas,” he said.
Jojo Mendrez stressed his respect for the LGBTQIA+ community and said that love and affection do not choose gender. He added that he is wondering why people would give a different color to something that they do not fully know.
Meanwhile, in a recent press conference for Jojo Mendrez’s singing career, he was surprised that Mark Herras came and gave him flowers while he was performing a song.
