Couple Arrested for Drug Bust Operation Also Linked to Shooting Incident in Manila
A couple suspected of involvement in a fatal shooting at a computer shop in Manila was arrested during a drug buy-bust operation.
The arrest took place in Gate 54 of the Parola Compound, where authorities seized approximately 20 grams of suspected illegal drugs worth P136,000.
Police investigations revealed that the pair were suspects in the November 16, 2024, shooting inside a computer shop in Parola. CCTV footage captured the incident, showing the victim standing when a gunman entered and fired multiple shots.

The gunman then fled the scene with a male accomplice wearing a gray jacket. A few days after the incident, police apprehended the accomplice in the gray jacket, who was later identified as the brother of the female suspect.
However, the gunman managed to escape arrest until the recent operation.
Further investigation revealed that the female suspect had allegedly pointed out the victim’s location to the gunman before the shooting. According to authorities, the motive for the crime stemmed from a P2,500 debt owed by the victim to the gunman.
The victim’s partner claimed that the shooting happened after an altercation involving the theft of the gunman’s uncle’s cellphone.
The gunman had reportedly just been released from prison in October 2024 after serving 14 years for a homicide conviction. Despite their arrest during the drug operation, the couple denied involvement in the illegal drug trade.

The couple now faces multiple charges, including murder and violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Police are continuing their investigation to ensure justice is served for the victim and to address the alleged drug activities.
