Andres Eduardo died at the age of 90 and his wake was at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Forbes Park, Makati. He was laid to rest at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig on February 5.

In a vlog, Small narrated what happened during that time. According to her, she received an emergency call from the Philippines during her Los Angeles trip. In a video call with her sister construction magnate Alice Eduardo, she saw the suffering of her father.

It was the “hardest and worst call” and she even heard him telling her, “Small, nasaan ka ba? Wag ka muna kumain.”

The doctor told her to come home and gather everyone which shocked her. She was taken aback by the doctor’s remarks. She shared, “Sabi ng doctor, baka di ko na maabutan si Dad. I said, ‘No!'”

She immediately flew back to the Philippines and that flight back which took 18 hours was the longest flight she had in her life. She was praying, “I was praying to God, ‘Lord, I just want my dad alive. Lord, maabutan ko lang si Dad.'”

From the airport, she went straight to the hospital and all of her siblings were already there. Her Ate Alice was crying and in her head, she was praying for her father’s life to be extended as she still wanted to have more time with him.

But shortly after she came, he went away.

“My dad waited for me. After one and a half hours, nag-pass on na siya. I really can’t accept that.”
