Philmar Alipayo was happy for this reason
Professional surfer Philmar Alipayo expressed gratitude for reaching one million followers on Facebook after the controversy between him and his wife former actress Andi Eigenmann.
Philmar and Andi were spotlighted after the cryptic posts that the latter had caught the online community’s attention, hinting that a problem was occurring in their relationship. This dragged Philmar’s best friend Pernilla Sjoo because of the matching tattoo that they had amid the surfer’s issue with his wife.
Many netizens criticized Philmar, as well as, Pernilla who was accused of destroying the couple. However, actor Derek Ramsay, who is also a close friend of Pernilla, defended her. He told Philmar to be man enough to face the issue.
Eventually, Philmar Alipayo announced that he and Andi Eigenmann were okay. He even surprised her with a bouquet of flowers on Valentine’s Day. Many of their supporters felt happy that they reconciled.
However, some netizens criticized the couple for washing their dirty laundry in public. Amid the issue, the couple did not speak about what happened and there was no explanation whatsoever. Even self-proclaimed “Sawsawera Queen” RR Enriquez after the explosive social media posts, Andi gave in and reconciled with Philmar.
Despite what happened, Philmar found a reason to be thankful and that is for his one million followers on Facebook. In his recent post, he shared a screenshot of his FB account showcasing the “1M Followers”.
“Salamat karajaw naka abot nata sa 1M. ma pasalamaton ako karajaw sa mga nag supporta sanan nag sobaybay sa ako, padajon rata gihapon,” he wrote in the caption of his post. (Translation: Thank you Karajaw we’ve reached 1M. I would like to thank all those who supported me and watched over me, let’s keep going).
