Pres. Bongbong Marcos Seemingly Chides Duterte’s “Kill” Statement
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President seemingly chided on the controversial remark of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte against 15 senators.
The 2025 Midterm Election is fast approaching and several political parties have announced their bets for senator and other positions. The PDP-Laban is one of the political parties that have aired their senatorial bets.
The PDP-Laban to which former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte belongs supports 9 senatorial candidates in the upcoming 2025 Midterm Elections. The party recently held a proclamation rally to announced its bets in the upcoming midterm elections.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte were present at the proclamation rally. Their father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, gave a speech at the event and his remark has caught the attention of many individuals.

At the proclamation rally of the PDP-Laban, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte expressed a “kill” remark against 15 senators so the senatorial positions will be vacant. According to the former Chief Executive, it is a way so all their bets can secure the posts.
Senator Bato dela Rosa tagged the controversial remark of Duterte as allegedly a “joke” of the former President. According to him, the former Chief Executive just wants to spark laughter among the audience and he should have not spoken about it if he really intends to do it.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos has seemingly chided the remark of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte against 15 senators. Based on a report on GMA News’ Balitambayan, the Chief Executive expressed confusion about the remark.
“Sabagay, mahirap naman ang ibang tao, ang iniisip lang nila ang kaisa-isang solusyon sa lahat ng problema ay pumatay pa ng Pilipino. Nakakapagtaka kung bakit ganoon,” Marcos Jr. said.
Based on the report, without mentioning Duterte, Pres. Bongbong Marcos said that they just heard about the remark and he thinks it is because the senatorial candidates probably have no chances.
The Marcos and Duterte relationship has turned sour. The son of Pres. Bongbong Marcos is also a top signatory in the impeachment of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
