GSIS MPL LITE REQUIREMENTS 2025 – Here are the qualifications and the documents you must comply with to apply for the loan offer.

Many Filipinos are members of either the Social Security System (SSS) or the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS). These are the two biggest social insurance institutions in the Philippines. The latter is for the Filipinos who are employed in the government.

A GSIS membership is mandated among the Filipinos who are working in the government in the pursuit of the state to widen the resources of the government employees. Meanwhile, even if they leave the government service, the members still have the chance to continue their membership and avail the services of the social insurance giant.

There are several GSIS loans that members may apply for in different situations or for different reasons. Through the years, the list of GSIS loan offers keeps on expanding as well as the state giant continues in its pursuit to be of service to its members in different circumstances.

According to the social insurance giant, the GSIS MPL Lite is designed to help provide for the “needs of active members with sufficient Net Take Home Pay (NTHP)”. To qualify for the loan offer, here are the eligibility requirements for application:

  • has posted at least one (1) month premium contributions for both Personal Share and Government Share at the time of application
  • active member under permanent and non-permanent status, including Special Members tagged as such in their respective Member’s Service Profiles (MSPs) whose
  • the agency status is not “Suspended”
  • not on leave of absence without pay at the time of application
  • agency has a MOA with GSIS
  • has no GFAL account in default except housing loan
  • has no pending administrative case and/or criminal case; Provided however, that if the pending administrative case or charge is for a light offense, the borrower shall remain eligible
  • the resulting net take-home pay after GSIS loan availment is not lower than the amount required under the General Appropriations Act, after all required monthly obligations have been deducted
