Jodi Sta Maria said that her perspective on love
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria shared what she realized about love, now that she is older.
Jodi had her fair share of ups and downs when it came to her love life. It is known to many that she was married to Pampi Lacson and although their marriage has been annulled, they remained friends, and their blended family setup is working really fine.
The actress now has a very private relationship with actor Raymart Santiago. In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN, Jodi shared her thoughts on love.
She admitted that when she was younger, she thought that love was all about feelings, something that gives a person a giddy feeling. There was even a time in her life when she chose love over her career.
However, as she is now older, that perspective changed. “Love is a verb. It’s not just a feeling. It’s always choosing. It’s a commitment,” the Kapamilya actress said.
Jodi Sta Maria also said that love is no longer about the honeymoon phase but choosing that person even though that person is hard to love sometimes. She stressed that this is not just exclusive to romantic relationships as this is also the same with friendships.
Jodi added that love is also not just about giving to others but also thinking about one’s self. She stressed that self-love is not wrong as it is not being selfish. For her, this is necessary. The Kapamilya actress also said that love also has its boundaries and this is healthy for both parties.
Meanwhile, Jodi Sta Maria is showcasing her self-love moments these past years. She explored other possibilities outside the entertainment industry. Just recently, she shared that she will return to studying as she aims to establish a facility that will help people’s mental health, and in order to do that, she had to take a showbiz hiatus.
