Dr. Willie Ong Withdraws from 2025 Senate Race
Dr. Willie Ong, a popular cardiologist and health advocate, has officially announced his withdrawal from the 2025 Senate race.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Dr. Ong explained that his decision was driven by the need to prioritize his health. He shared that he has been undergoing treatment for cancer since September last year.
Doctors discovered a large sarcoma, measuring 16 x 13 x 12 centimeters, located in his abdomen, hidden behind his heart, and in front of his spine. This serious condition requires his full attention and care, prompting him to step away from his political aspirations.
Dr. Ong expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported and prayed for him during this challenging time. While he was stepping back from politics, he reassured his followers that his passion for helping poor Filipinos would remain strong.
The health advocate emphasized that his advocacy work will continue in his personal capacity, showing his commitment to public service even outside of government roles.

So I can focus more on taking care of my health.
