In an interview, Derek Ramsay gave this direct statement to Andi Eigenmann.
Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo have sorted out their issues but Derek Ramsay has this to say as his friend was deeply affected.
The issue between the weekend all started when people online noticed that Philmar Alipayo and Andi Eigenmann unfollowed each other on Instagram. It was then fueled by more posts from Andi who subtly implied the involvement of another person while they were on a fight.
This person used to be a close friend of theirs and a day after their fight, had a matching tattoo with Philmar. The couple tattoo of Philmar and his female best friend became viral online and while there was no cheating that occurred, Andi admitted that she got hurt because of this.
The involved female best friend of Alipayo is Pernilla Sjoo, a Swedish photographer. She is based in Siargao and was very close to Andi and Philmar until the issue occurred because of the matching tattoo.
Pernilla Sjoo happened to also be a close friend of Derek Ramsay and in an interview with Ogie Diaz, Ramsay backed his friend and shared his thoughts.
According to Ramsay, Pernilla is keeping her privacy at the moment following the online backlash. She is with his boyfriend who is also based in Siargao. Regarding the matching tattoo, he stressed that his friend has no ill intentions of getting one with Philmar.
He believes that Andi shouldn’t have posted and aired their problem on social media considering her popularity and influence. For him, she could have done it discreetly by directly approaching Philmar about it.
In a previous article, Andi made clear that the reason why she publicized the matter was because this female friend refused to respond to her reaching out.
However, what aggravated Derek further was when Philmar admitted to ironing out issues with Andi without addressing Pernilla’s involvement.
“It’s irresponsible posting. Don’t act on emotion, think before you speak or act, because the repercussions can be so big,” Derek told Ogie. He did not invalidate Andi’s feelings and anger and even noted that she had all the right to do so but they could have just chosen to keep it private.
For him, most of it was Philmar’s fault for agreeing to get matching tattoos with Pernilla. His friend was also wrong in the tattoo incident and added that she could have asked Andi about it first.
“Philmar, magpakalalaki ka. Do what’s right man. You’ve lost a good friend, that’s your loss. Still, do what’s right,” Derek ended. “Grow some balls. ‘Di kita kaaway. Just grow some balls.”
According to Derek, Pernilla is considering cutting ties with Andi and Philmar.
