Niño Muhlach shared an update on his son Sandro Muhlach
Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach is getting better six months after his controversial revelation about GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Sandro had his explosive revelation about what allegedly happened after the GMA Gala last year. He accused Nones and Cruz of harassing him. This matter eventually was brought up in court and Sandro formally filed a case against the contractors.
His story prompted singer-actor Gerald Santos to open up about what allegedly happened to him when he was just 15 years old. Gerald decided to establish his advocacy focusing on abuse victims and Sandro is joining hands with him.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Niño Muhlach was asked how’s his son now after the controversy. The former child star that Sandro Muhlach is now okay. “OK lang. Yung kay Sandro [Muhlach], OK naman. OK,” he calmly said about his son.
Niño added that Sandro is doing well and her returned to doing acting stints. Sandro is set to star in an episode of Tadhana.
When asked what have he learned from what happened, the seasoned actor said that he did not expect this kind of thing would happen to them. Their clan has been in the industry for many years already and it was expected that a negative incident would happen specifically to his son.
Niño also shared that their relatives are very supportive of Sandro. “Full support naman sila like, di ba, noong nasa Senate kami, nandun lahat. Sina Charlene [Gonzalez], sina Albert [Martinez].”
The former child star was also asked what he could say to his younger son Alfonso. Niño shared that Sandro first shared what happened with his younger brother. He stressed that this kind of this would not happen to Alfonso because they have the same personality.
“Si Sandro kasi, very meek, parang naive. Pero si Alonzo, sigurado gagawa ng eksena. Papalag yon!” Niño shared. On the other hand, he was thinking that this has to happen to his son so that this act will be put to an end. He was entertaining the possibility that if this happened to another showbiz newbie, the issue would just be covered up and there would be no courage to raise this matter publicly.
