Here’s why President Bongbong Marcos is not doing the hair follicle test.
Vic Rodriguez suggests President Bongbong Marcos do a follicle test to dismiss the allegations but the president expresses his refusal.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has been facing allegations ever since of using illegal substances. Recently, former executive secretary and lawyer Vic Rodriguez called him out and challenged him to do the hair follicle test to dismiss this and he has this response.

“No. Why should I do that?”
This is what he told the reporters and added that the “public office has nothing to do with the follicle test”. He slammed Rodriguez for making the call. Rodriguez used to work for him and he believes he would not work with him if he was a user.
This is not the first time that Rodriguez challenged Marcos to take a hair follicle test to put an end to the allegations of drug use. He was Marcos’ long-time chief of staff and spokesperson before being named as Executive Secretary in May 2022.
“He’s always had that weakness every time he — when he was still working for me. If you believe in what he was saying, why did he work for me?” the President quipped.
In October 2022, he shared that his “complete exit” from the Marcos administration was a “personal decision” to pave the way for him to spend more time with his family. There have been allegations that he was booted out by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
The first call was made in April 2024. Rodriguez is running for senator in the 2025 midterm elections.

A hair follicle test can detect:
