Piglet Born w/ Human-Like Face Elicits Reactions Online
A piglet born with human-like face in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, has been making rounds online because of its unusual appearance.
Recently, AJ Bantaya Cardinas, a Facebook user, shared a photo and video of a weird-looking animal in Negros Oriental. The post immediately spread like wildfire on social media and elicited comments from the netizens.
According to the owner Alfredo Cardenas Jr., his sow gave birth on January 21, 2025 and at first, everything seemed normal. However, the eighth piglet to come out shocked him and his family.
Instead of a regular piglet’s snout, it had facial features resembling a human’s, and even the sounds it made were similar to a baby’s cry. The family was both fascinated and scared by the strange creature.
Unfortunately, the piglet was weak and couldn’t feed properly, passing away just four hours after it was born. It wasn’t the first time something unusual happened with their pigs. In a previous litter, the same sow had given birth to a piglet with what looked like tiny wings.
Despite these unusual incidents, Cardenas sees them as lucky signs, claiming that since these strange births started happening, he’s been able to buy a new phone and even a cow.
Some people were amazed, while others were creeped out. There were even rumors that the piglet spoke when they tried to give it milk.
However, a veterinarian weighed in on the matter, explaining that the piglet was most likely a premature birth with facial deformities. The expert dismissed the idea that it was a mix of different species, emphasizing that genetic mutations can sometimes cause such abnormalities.
