PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that shear line, easterlies, and amihan will bring overcast skies with rains over parts of the country.
On Monday (January 27, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that shear line, easterlie,s and the northeast monsoon will prevail in many parts of the country. The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and light rains over Batanes.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.
The shear line will bring similar weather conditions over Eastern Visayas.

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over the rest of the country.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon will be moderate to rough. The rest of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
