Grab Driver In Controversial Viral Post Cleared: “No conclusive evidence”

In the issue of a Grab driver versus a student, the company releases the results of the investigation.

GRAB DRIVER – An employee of the ride-hailing company was cleared of the accusations and here’s the result of the investigation.

A student named Daniella Charlize has publicized her experience when she and her sister had a Grab ride from school. According to her, the driver named Jerricho Narvaez was sketchy the moment they got in the car saying he was already “breathing heavily and acting weird”. She narrated her experience and this went viral which apparently reached the knowledge of the involved Grab driver.

Upon learning this, the driver immediately released his official statement regarding the matter and defended himself. In his statement, Narvaez expressed that he is a father of two girls and stressed that he respects all women.

At the time of the incident, he was accordingly full from eating, hence, the heavy breathing they heard. He also explained that he is overweight, asthmatic, and hypertensive. He also explained that he did not do what he was accused of as claimed in the post of the student.

The matter was handled by the Grab company and recently, the result of the investigation was shared with the public.

According to the management, after completing the investigation from reviewing the Audio Protect recording from the trip to going over the profile and performance history of the driver-partner, “no conclusive evidence to support the allegations” has been found.

In separate situations, they met with the family of the passenger and the driver-partner to reveal to them the findings of the investigation.

The driver’s account has been reactivated and will be compensated for the earnings he lost during the period he was suspended. It added, “We understand the challenges faced by both passengers and driver-partners in such situations and remain committed to ensuring fairness and understanding.”
