In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Vic Sotto’s role as a father went through a change. He admitted that with his kids Danica and Oyo with Dina Bonnevie, Vico with Connie Reyes, and Paulina with Angela Luz, he was not totally present in their lives.

They didn’t grow up with me. Their moms played a huge role in forming their attitude. That’s the sad part about being an absentee dad,” the veteran comedian-host shared.

Now that his children are older, he tries to make time for them at least once a week. He would visit them and have dinner with them. Sometimes, they would watch basketball games with him. Vic shared that he would make up for his shortcomings by being a good provider.

When it comes to his younger daughters Tali and Mochi, Vic said that it was different. “I got to witness Tali’s milestones because it happened during the pandemic when I wasn’t working,” he said.

With that, he got to stay at home for almost two years. He enjoyed being a father despite the worries that he had with what was happening outside. That moment also gave him time to relax away from his work on TV. The veteran showbiz personality has been in the industry since he was 16 years old.

Vic Sotto shared that he was able to hear Tali’s first words and saw her first steps. This is also the same with his youngest daughter Mochi now. “Tali loved ‘Cocomelon,’ while Mochi is into ‘Ms. Rachel.’” he added.
