Tattoo Artist Arrested for Alleged Assault of Minor Client in Valenzuela
A 22-year-old tattoo artist was arrested in Valenzuela City for allegedly assaulting his 16-year-old client in 2022, resulting in her pregnancy.
The authorities served a warrant of arrest against the tattoo artist in Barangay Marulas. The suspect ranks as the third most wanted person on the city police’s list.
According to reports, the crime occurred in August 2022, but the victim only filed charges in June 2023 against the tattoo artist and an accomplice. Authorities revealed that the victim had been a regular customer of the suspect, who had gained her trust over time.
“Itong biktima isa sa mga customers niya lagi. So after that siguro nagkaroon ng hindi inaasahang kuwan, parang ‘yun nga, na-rape. At sabi parang gang rape pa. So nag-push through maisampa ang kaso,”said Valenzuela City Police chief Police Colonel Nixon Cayaban.
However, during one session, the incident allegedly turned into a gang assault involving the suspect and another individual. “Itong accused naman siguro, hindi niya inaasahan at nabuntis pa itong biktima,” Cayaban added.
Following the incident, the suspect reportedly went into hiding, frequently moving between different areas of Valenzuela City and Quezon City. After months of evasion, the police finally apprehended him.
The chief of Valenzuela City Police noted the severity of the case and emphasized the victim’s courage in filing a complaint despite the trauma.
“Hindi ko po ginawa ‘yun. Mahirap pong magsabi. Dalawa po kaming sinampahan,” the suspect explained.
The suspect, now under police custody, denied the accusations, claiming he had no involvement in the crime. He also pointed out that he was one of two people facing charges related to the incident.
However, authorities had already arrested the other accused individual earlier. The police urge the public to report similar cases to help address such incidents effectively.
