Richard Gutierrez and Eddie Gutierrez share the same frame again
Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez talked about working again with his father veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez after a long time.
Richard started his acting career at a young age, together with his twin brother Raymond. Coming from a popular showbiz clan, Richard continued the legacy of his family in the entertainment industry.
His most recent acting project is the primetime action series Incognito. In this project, Richard had the chance to work again with his father.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Richard Gutierrez said that he could no longer remember the last he worked with Eddie Gutierrez.
The veteran actor portrayed the role of the father of Richard’s character in the series. “Actually nung i-offer sa kanya na he will portray as my father sobrang na-excite siya especially na ‘yung character niya general, sobrang excited siya, kasi matagal-tagal din siyang hindi nakagawa ng teleserye,” the Kapamilya actor said.
Richard also shared that there had been several offers for his father but they do not want him to be exhausted. “May edad na rin kasi ang dad ko. Alam naman natin ‘pag teleserye talagang… madugong trabaho ‘yan, puyatan, pukpukan, so relax naman siya, chill naman siya sa bahay, so pinipili na rin naman niya ‘yung projects na gagawin niya,” Richard said.
He also shared that in Incognito, Eddie’s script was given ahead of the shooting and when he comes to the set, he already memorized his lines.
With this, Richard said that they have smooth dialogues because his father memorized his character. The younger actor said that his dad is very passionate about this but they are making sure to minimize the risk and the veteran actor’s safety.
Richard Gutierrez said that his father’s role is not just a special participation. Eddie’s character is ingrained in the story but he takes a break in between taping days and his hours on set were shorter than the rest of the cast members. His father is also excited and happy that they were in Baguio.
