Is it worth the hype? Is it worth the splurge? World-renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay is currently here in the Philippines. He is famous for his Beef Wellington and previously, she challenged PH’s “Lumpia Queen” to make his famous dish wrapped in a lumpia.
Ramsay was impressed by the “Beef Wellington Lumpia” by Abi Marquez and a lot appreciated his pleasant reaction. The British celebrity chef is here in Manila and was seen at the Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill – this is his first restaurant in the Philippines located at Newport Resorts World.
The bar and grill was opened in August 2024. He eyes to open more restaurants in PH and plans to bring the iconic Hell’s Kitchen to the country. Hell’s Kitchen is a hit television cooking competition where chefs compete in a dramatic, high-pressure environment. There are Hell’s Kitchen restaurants in Las Vegas, Dubai, and London.
About the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill
This place is more than the chef’s signature Beef Wellington and lobster risotto.
Of course, the dish Ramsay is most famous for, Beef Wellington, is a must-try. This is a thick cut of MB7 Wagyu beef cutlet painted with mustard. It has a generous layer of truffle and mushroom duxelles and every serve comes with creamy mashed potatoes and red wine jus.
Other menu items to try include Ceasar Salad from the appetizers section. The other mains are Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips and Iberico Pork Secreto. For dessert, give your palate a sweet taste with Sticky Toffee Pudding and Baked Alaska.
Crispy Crab Cake with Oscietra Caviar and Aged Steak Tartare with Potato Chips are also on the menu that you must try! Red Pepper Risotto and Caramelized Apple Tart Tatin are some dishes a lot of people online talk about as well.
As for the price, the figures are not your everyday bill to pay for a single dine but with its huge portion sizes, great quality ingredients, mastery of cooking
