Man Helps Girlfriend Through School, Gets Left Behind Due to Drinking Habit
A man who helped his beloved girlfriend to finish her education was left behind due to his drinking habit.
Recently, Jay-ar Budta Manapos, a Facebook user, shared how he supported his girlfriend’s education only to be left behind. The post garnered various reactions online, prompting the woman, identified as Noralyn Longyapon, to issue her own statement.
According to Noralyn, she is currently struggling with mental health issues caused by the public attention and the backlash she received online. She clarified that Jay-ar’s financial support during her studies was entirely his decision, made out of love, and she never forced him to help her.
Longpayon recalled how Jay-ar promised to assist her while they were still dating. Despite her insistence that it wasn’t his responsibility, he chose to help her complete her education. However, Noralyn revealed that their relationship was strained due to Jay-ar’s drinking habit, which she had repeatedly asked him to stop.
Before her graduation, they were already having misunderstandings, and she eventually decided to leave. While seeking a better future, she met someone who shares her values, a nurse, just like her and who she believes offers a brighter future.
Noralyn explained that her decision to end the relationship wasn’t made lightly. She expressed gratitude for Jay-ar’s support but emphasized that love was the primary reason he chose to help her.
She criticized him for sharing their story online and expressed her intent to consult a lawyer to pursue legal action for what she considers public humiliation.
Now moving on with her life, Noralyn hopes Jay-ar can also find happiness and eventually meet someone who suits him better. Currently, she is focused on building a brighter future.
