Beauty Gonzalez and Denise Laurel are part of this new Kapuso series
Actresses Beauty Gonzalez and Denise Laurel talked about their roles in the new afternoon Kapuso series Prinsesa Ng City Jail.
The series mainly features Sparkle’s young stars Sofia Pablo, who plays the character of Princess, and his onscreen partner Allen Ansay.
In the series, which airs on weekdays at 3:20 PM, Beauty plays the character of Sharlene while Denise gives life to the character of Divina.
Beauty said that one of the reasons why she accepted this project is its beautiful story. Aside from that, having Jerry Lopez Sineneng as the director is also a big factor in why she said yes.
The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate said that their director was right when he said that the story does not mainly focus on the character of Princess or anyone else because each character adds color to the whole story.
“Lahat kami dito may purpose sa story and I wanna be part of that,” Beauty Gonzalez said. She also expressed gratitude to GMA for their continued support for her by giving her project after project.
Denise Laurel shared that the cast and director of this project also made her excited to be part of it. She also said that she felt honored that GMA considered her to be included in the cast.
“I’ve been on vacation for the past year and a half or two years, so I was touched that GMA and the whole production thought of me for this outrageous, out-of-this-world character and that they trust that I can portray Divina,” Denise shared.
As an actress, Beauty Gonzalez shared that she takes every project as an opportunity to learn. For Denise Laurel, this new era of the entertainment industry is more focused on “art, collaboration, working together, and really uplifting the quality of Philippine TV and cinema,” which she really likes.
