DARRYL YAP-VIC SOTTO ISSUE – There is reportedly no take down order yet on the Pepsi Paloma movie teaser amid the ongoing case.

The teaser of the upcoming biopic of the late Pepsi Paloma hooked different reactions from the people. Countless Filipinos wondered about the reaction of Eat Bulaga! host Vic Sotto whose named is pinned on a serious accusation that was part of an issue that has eased decades ago.

Darryl Yap who is known as a filmmaker that previously released projects featuring controversial topics directed the Pepsi Paloma movie. For his reaction to the teaser of the film, Vic Sotto filed a case against director Darryl Yap.

Accompanied by his wife, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, Vic Sotto filed a cyberlibel case against Darryl Yap at the Muntinlupa Court. Bossing said that it is nothing personal and his move is the answer to many people who question about his reaction.

Darryl Yap is confident that he did not fall short with regards to the film. According to him, his materials are based on documentaries that were published and publicized. Yap’s lawyer asked the Court for a gag order on the biopic amid the case.

The lawyer of Darryl Yap claimed that Vic Sotto was sent a copy of the script prior to the release of the teaser of the Pepsi Paloma movie. It also previously said that there is no take down order regarding the controversial teaser.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, there is no take down order of the Pepsi Paloma movie teaser with regards to the Darryl Yap-Vic Sotto issue yet. The Muntinlupa Court granted the request of Yap’s camp for a gag order.

“All parties are directed to observe strict confidentiality in compliance with the sub judice rule, ensuring that the case proceedings and any related matters remain undisclosed to the public until resolved,” the the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205 ruled on its decision.

Previously, Atty. Fortun, the lawyer of Yap, said that their gag order request is to prevent the camp of Sotto from making irresponsible statements over the unreleased biopic. Director Darryl Yap previously spoke on the question about who is behind him.
