INC PEACE RALLY – The rally held by the Iglesia ni Cristo members in support of Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ stand opposing the impeachment of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte gathered over 1.5 million Filipinos at Quirino Grandstand.
Despite the souring relationship between Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, the Chief Executive did not hesitate to express his stand on the impeachment complaints against the Vice President. Three (3) impeachment complaints have been filed against Duterte.
The impeachment complaints filed against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte at the House of Representatives cited questions on the Confidential Funds spending of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education (DepEd). Prior to it, several hearings have been held at the lower chamber but the Vice President has skipped most of the inquiries set.
The House Secretary General earlier said that the three impeachment complaints are ready to be transmitted to the Office of the House Speaker. However, she decided to give some time for a possible fourth impeachment complaint and talked to the House leaders.
