Richard Gutierrez made sure to portray his role well in his new series
Kapamilya actress Richard Gutierrez shared that just like his new series Incognito, he also has incognito moments in public.
Richard is one of the most in-demand actors of his generation. From “kilig” teleseryes with loveteam partners, he ventured into the action genre. His upcoming series will showcase the hardcore action scenes they shot in the Philippines and abroad.
Previously, Richard shared that Incognito is his dream project. He really did intense preparation for this.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Richard was asked if he had “incognito” moments in public. Since he is one of the most popular celebrities nowadays, it would be difficult for him to roam freely in public places.
The actor said that he has this moment every time he rides his motorcycle. “Incognito yun, walang nakakakilala sa akin. Unless I remove my helmet sa isang gas station,” he said.
This is also the same when he goes camping because he is in the middle of nowhere with his friends and family.
Growing up in showbiz and belonging to one of the most prominent showbiz clans in the Philippines, Richard said that he enjoys his privacy. He has to be a regular guy on the road when he is riding a motorcycle.
He also said that during the pandemic, he got to use the situation to visit malls. “Di ba may tinted face shields noon? So naka-mask ako, naka-shades ako at face shield. Enjoy na enjoy ako, ang saya. Mainit nga lang,” the actor shared.
Richard Gutierrez also shared that they really prepared intently for Incognito series because they knew it will shown on Netflix. The actor said that they wanted to compete with other countries.
“We’re doing the best we can,” he said. Richard had bruises and cuts while they were shooting the series and he said this was inevitable because of the action scenes, especially those with real explosives.
Somehow, this was a refresher for him since he already done martial arts before. Richard Gutierrez learned how to use a knife in a fight scene using his right hand because he is left-handed. “Ginawa ko rin yun for the role kasi I shoot a gun with my left hand so I can do gun and knife at the same time sa action scenes,” the Kapamilya star said.
