In the interview, Andi recounted fond memories of Philmar’s romantic gestures during their courtship, delivering the story entirely in fluent Bisaya. “Ana akong bana si Philmar sa una, grabe akong kahilig sa butong, kay grabe kalami anang butong, diba? So siya, magpakita sa akog magdayag gyud siya ug butong, siya gyud ang magdayag ana kada adlaw. Nung nagkadugay na kami, never! Magbayad na lang siya,” Andi shared with a laugh.

Translated to English, Andi explained how, back then, Philmar would personally climb trees to get her coconuts because she loved them so much. But after they became a couple, his efforts changed—he would simply pay someone else to do it.

Andi’s candid storytelling and her mastery of Bisaya brought joy to Melai and viewers, reflecting her deep connection to Siargao and the local culture. Her journey from being a Manila-based actress to embracing island life has endeared her to many fans.
