Darryl Yap Replies To Sarsi Emmanuelle’s Comment On Pepsi Paloma Movie

Here’s Sarsi Emmanuelle’s comment and Darryl Yap has this reply.

Pepsi Paloma movie by Darryl Yap is set to be released this year and Sarsi Emmanuelle has this comment on the movie.

Delia Duenas Smith was the real name of Pepsi Paloma. She was a controversial figure in the Philippines due to her story being tied to famous personalities such as Vic SottoJoey de Leon, and Richie D’Horsie.

It’s roughly 40 years since her death and her story remains timeless. There were stories about her being violated by De Leon, Sotto, and Richie. At that time, it created a loud buzz in the country. A lot of things were not clarified but even before this happened, she hanged herself and passed away at the age of 18.

However, the death of Paloma was doubted as a form of self-harm and there was nothing certain about it because of lack of evidence.

Decades following her death, the story continues and this year, a film about her will be released and is directed by Darryl Yap. The director is known for his controversial films and the one with Paloma is the newest.

The movie earned various reactions and among those who reacted was Sarsi Emmanuelle. The actress asked who relayed the story to the director when the one who knew the truth had already died. She said, “Saan nila kinuha yung story?”

Yap replied to this and asserted that Sarsi’s comment was convenient because Pepsi was dead. Whether there’s truth or just “gimik”, nothing to do already and he stressed that because of her death, they rose to fame during their time.

“Close ba kayo ni Pepsi? Nung namatay siya saka kayo sumikat! WAG MO KO PALALABASING SINUNGALING. Hintayin mo ang pelikula,” he wrote.
