The Promotional Examinations are only accessible to PNP uniformed members who meet the eligibility and rank requirements and are qualified for the examination.

NAPOLCOM has introduced new exam titles for all categories as part of Republic Act No. 11200. This law updates the PNP’s rank classification system and standardizes how police officers are addressed. It also revises parts of the older Republic Act No. 6975, known as the Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990, to make ranks more organized and easier to understand.
