PAGASA Says ITCZ and Amihan to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone and amihan will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (December 27, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The intertropical convergence zone and the northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that amihan and ITCZ will affect several areas in the country. The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Mindanao, Visayas, Palawan, Masbate, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Norte. It will also bring isolated rains over the rest of the Ilocos Region.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
No low pressure is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, according to PAGASA.
