Dennis Trillo lauded his co-stars in his MMFF 2024 entry
Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo said that his Green Bones co-star Ruru Madrid is “napakagaling” in his acting performance.
Dennis is one of the biggest artists in the Philippine industry nowadays who has a Metro Manila Film Festival entry. The premiere night for this movie was held on December 20 and the official release will be on December 25 along with other MMFF entries.
It is produced by GMA Pictures, GMA Public Affairs, and Brightburn Entertainment which is owned by Dennis and his wife Jennylyn Mercado.
In an interview after the premiere night, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Dennis Trillo was asked about his co-stars in the movie.
The Kapuso drama king said that his co-stars are perfect for their roles. Then, he was asked about Ruru Madrid who played the character of Xavier Gonzaga, a jail guard who was just waiting for his character Domingo Zamora a.k.a Dom Saltik to make a mistake.
Dennis shared that there was no need to have support when it came to playing his character because after reading the script and understanding the nature of Domingo Zamora, he already knew what to do and the portrayal was organic.
Then, Dennis commended Ruru. “Makikita mo rin si Ruru Madrid. Napakagaling. Konti lang ang linya pero ramdam mo sa tono ng boses at sa tamang timpla ng emosyon,” he said.
The drama king also shared that after reading the script, he already felt the pain. With this, he could already say that this project is indeed special and the message it wants to relay to the viewers. He added that the viewers can relate to the movie because it has a universal message.
“‘Yung message niya, maa-apply ng kahit sino, makakapag-reflect kahit anong klaseng buhay at kahit anong pinagdadaanan mo,” Dennis Trillo shared.
Green Bones also features Michael de Mesa, Ronnie Lazaro, Nonie Buencamino, Wendell Ramos, Iza Calzado, and Alessandra de Rossi.
